so basically ruby is in existential dread while the rest of them had their beliefs reinforced
Yes, but did Jaune also go through this.
Yang is back. Sarcastic and full of puns. How we missed this Goldilock that was full of fun.
"If there's something I'm missing, it's not because I've lost it. It's because I haven't found it yet. And the only way to do that is to keep going." 🥹 MY NEW FAV QUOTE
so the herbalist made them high as balls, lives in a mushroom hut. he basically took them on a mushroom trip and made them all rexamine their purpose. what kinda psychedelic hippies are writing rwby, i want to meet them LMAOO
Ruby almost got finish 😳.
It's really tragic to see Ruby, the most positive optimistic character, to be down in the dumps.
Reality stole her innocent youth, punched her heros and forced her to see failure after failure. She no longer has the heart to believe things will work out again. Their situation is so grim that she lost the will to even try fighting.
She has lost her naiveness, and she will never be able to get it back. RIP old Ruby
Dang, loved to see their old character models once again.
Old Ruby > New Ruby
Old Weiss > New Weiss
New Blake > Old Blake
New Yang = Old Yang
And yes, I know their change in appearance a couple of volumes ago was meant to signify to start of a new chapter in life for them.
Blake's character design was so much better originally. Everyone else has more or less improved
No Weiss looked so much better b4. That braid she’s rocking right now is not working. Also the little bit of red complimented her old outfit really well imo.
Ruby is not ever going to recover.
Really liking this arc
wow can't believe rwby character said somrthing actually quote worthy that isn't nuclear level cringe lol
Hope the next episode is about the rest of the gang who escaped cause this arc is pretty boring since its pretty much alice in wonderland 🥱
Call me crazy, but I'm enjoying this Volume more than any other since Volume 4. Volume 6 was good until ripoff Godzilla and salty bf Adam ruined it, but otherwise I've not enjoyed RWBY since Volume 4. This does feel like a filler arc, but ironically it also feels like a return to form for the character and pacing.
This volume is a soul-searching arc for the lead characters. All the tragedies and losses they faced have shaken their confidence as Huntresses (especially for Ruby). This episode in particular gives Yang, Blake, and Weiss the push they need to remember who they are and why they are, though Ruby can't seem to do that. We'll see how spiritually low Ruby can sink before she can swim (if at all).
Ruby needs to get a grip..being down doesn't help in the survival situations..also hwere the heck is john
Nah this is much better and more believable. They've lost for like...4 (if not more) Volumes straight, it's to be expected that she feels like shit. They couldn't defend Beacon, Haven or Atlas. All Ruby wanted to be was like the Huntresses in the stories and that her peers were, a hero people could depend on. That has been her entire character since Volume 1 and she has failed so far. It was bound to catch up to her and it's ironic that it did so within a fairytale, the very things that originally inspired her.
welp~ after everything that's happened and she just keeps losing... she has be to in a depressed mood, at least for a while...
I see...
so if you are unale to define who you are and what you stand for...
the caterpillar gives you a reality check which is kinda a double-edged sword depending on your mentality
